Intercessions – April 4, 2021, Easter

Priest: Jesus Christ is risen from the dead! May he raise us up and answer our humble, confident prayers….

  1. That the glory of the resurrection fill the Church and empower us all to joyfully and effectively spread the good news of the Risen Christ, let us pray to the Lord….                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
  1. For unity and harmony in our families, our nation and throughout our world, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That we succeed in our battle against the coronavirus, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. 9 PM: For Keely about to be baptized, for Andrew about to embrace the Catholic faith and for Gabrielle who will soon be confirmed and make her first communion, let us pray to the Lord….

9 and 11 AM: For Keely Scilano, baptized here last night, and Andrew Parkinson, our newest Catholics and for Gabrielle Kreza who will soon be confirmed and make her first communion, let us pray to the Lord….

  1. For the legal protection of the unborn, for a deepening sense of reverence for all human life and for success in our efforts to care for, enjoy, and where needed, to restore the natural world, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That our generous response to the Diocesan Services Appeal, the DSA, empower us to better live and share our faith, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For the grace of hope for those near death, for all who have gone before us and those who grieve them, in particular…

Priest: Heavenly Father, author of Sacred Scripture, help us receive what you have revealed in your Holy Word. Give us a greater hunger to daily seek you in the scriptures that we may better know you and your Son. May your Holy Spirit open us to be transformed by Your Holy Word throughout this year of the Bible. In Christ’s name we pray….
