Priest: Challenged by our first reading to “give evidence of our wisdom and intelligence,” we do just that as we lift up our prayers in humble confidence….
- For the self awareness to recognize our own moments of hypocrisy and the grace to turn our hearts completely to God, let us pray to the Lord….
- That we grow in our generous caring for “widows and orphans” and all those in need, let us pray to the Lord….
- For good sense and vigilance as we continue our battle to stop the spread of the coronavirus, let us pray to the Lord….
- That students returning to school be safe and well-invested in the treasure of the learning process, let us pray to the Lord….
- For the great success of our RCIA and Alpha programs, let us pray to the Lord….
- Saddened and troubled as we are by the tragedies and challenges of our nation’s departure from Afghanistan, we continue to plead for peace in our world. Let us pray to the Lord….
- For all who have gone before us and those who grieve them, in particular…

Priest: Heavenly Father, author of Sacred Scripture, help us receive what you have revealed in your Holy Word. Give us a greater hunger to daily seek you in the scriptures that we may better know you and your Son.
