Intercessions – Pentecost, June 5, 2022

Priest: On this great feast of Pentecost we celebrate the Church and lift up our prayers in renewed confidence and hope….

  1. For our young parishioners making their Confirmation retreat this weekend, and for all of us to have a great openness the gifts of the Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord….                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
  1. That the power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of unity, free us from all dissension, hatred and division, certainly in Ukraine and Uvalde Texas, but everywhere that violence has left its mark, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For the guidance of the Holy Spirit on researchers involved in our battle against the coronavirus, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. As Jesus prayed and and was led by the Spirit to begin his ministry, may priests and all of us find in prayer the guidance of the Spirit to perform our duties, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For the spread of the Gospel, unaffected by the challenges of language and culture, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That we are soon blessed with not only laws but heartfelt attitudes reverencing and protecting all human life and certainly the unborn, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For all who have gone before us and those who grieve them, in particular…
