Intercessions – January 22, 2023

Priest:  Just as Jesus called the apostles of old, he calls us to follow him. Seeking to do just that, we humbly and confidently lift up our prayers….

1. For a healing of all our divisions and a new unity in Christ, let us pray to the Lord….

2. That this annual week of prayer for Christian unity bear fruit in leading all Christians a little closer to being one, just as Jesus prayed, let us pray to the Lord….

3. For peace in our world, in our homes, in our hearts and certainly in Ukraine, let us pray to the Lord….

4. That we more and more appreciate, honor and immerse ourselves in the precious gift of the word of God, let us pray to the Lord….

5. For the Missionaries of Charity, the community Mother Theresa founded and for the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and all who have Francis de Sales as a patron as we approach his feast day on Tuesday, let us pray to the Lord….

6. That we do our part to encourage religious vocations among the young and to keep ourselves open to God’s ongoing call, let us pray to the Lord….

7. For all who have gone before us and those who grieve them, in particular…
