Center For Women (CFW), a provider of pregnancy counseling services and mentoring for fatherhood, is located at 434 Wildwood Avenue in Jackson. CFW is a pro-life pregnancy resource ministry, witnessing the love of Christ by providing counseling, education, and practical assistance. The CFW opened in 1988 and has served thousands of women and men since opening. Fund-raising events – in addition to the generosity of individuals, area churches, organizations, small groups, and small grants – allow the ability to serve and make a positive in the Jackson community and its future. Our qualified and caring volunteer staff, under the leadership of its two directors, is the heart and soul of the CFW. Each has committed themselves to mentoring relationships that have proven paramount when coming alongside women (and men) in a difficult circumstance or assisting them in becoming the mothers (and fathers) their children deserve. In August 2009, limited onsite ultrasounds were added to the list of CFW free services. Jill DeDoes, RDMS provides expectant mothers a visual connection to their unborn child. With great thanks to the Knights of Columbus, who raised funds to purchase a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine, the CFW has seen nearly 80% of those receiving ultrasound services choose life. Services provided include:

  • Pregnancy testing
  • Limited ultrasound services
  • Factual information on sexual health / sexually transmitted diseases / birth control
  • Ongoing pregnancy support
  • Factual information covering pregnancy, abortion, and alternatives
  • Educational and material assistance programs
  • Community resource referrals
  • Adoption information and facilitation
  • Emotional / Relational assistance
  • Post-abortion support (personal care or group settings available)

The CFW “Learn and Earn” program offers new and expectant parents education on prenatal care, infant care, parenting, and life skills – while allowing them to earn ‘credits’ that can be redeemed like cash in the “Mommy Store”. Donations of the following items are always welcome for the Mommy Store:

  • Prenatal vitamins
  • Books / Toys
