“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me’.”
Erma Bombeck
St. Rita Choir strives to be a community of people who are journeying in their faith with persistence and joy. We fill our lives with songs of praise in the good times and even in bad times. We attempt to reach out through our ministry to touch the lives of all who join us at St. Rita. We foster a spirit of active participation with the congregation to lift hearts and heal souls, as we worship together at each liturgy. We come together to offer what gifts we have and to lift up a voice of devoted love and praise to God. Come join us and “Make a joyful noise to the Lord.” -Psalm 100:1
St. Cecilia, patron of music, Pray for us!
“The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.”
Johann Sebastian Bach
Our children love to sing and dance and nothing seems to inhibit their joy in doing both. Giving them a way to participate, whether it be bringing up the gifts or singing in the mass, it shows them that they have a place in our community.
One of the most important parts of our journey is passing on your faith because every life can touch a life and every touch could save a soul.
Our children learn by example, show reverence and they will be reverent, participate and they will learn to participate, sing out in joy and they will learn to raise their voice in praise of God, lead by example and they will learn to be an example to others.
