Intercessions – October 23, 2022

Priest:  Like the tax collector in the gospel, we ask the Lord’s mercy on us sinners even as we humbly and confidently lift up our prayers ….

  1. For the insight to recognize our own pride and a recommitment to recognize the sacred dignity of every person we encounter, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That we work to heal the divisions in our nation and do our part to build a genuine spirit of unity, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. On this World Mission Sunday, we pray for all missionaries and for the faith and courage to share the gift of faith in our own families, neighborhoods, schools and work places, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That we continue to make progress in our battle against the coronavirus, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For a deep appreciation of the beauty and wonder of these fall days and a recognition of our own call to respect and protect the natural world, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That the blessing of peace fall upon the people of Ukraine, on all war-torn nations and on every one of us,  let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For all who have gone before us and those who grieve them, in particular…
