Intercessions – January 8, 2023

Priest:  Led on by the light of faith in our savior Jesus Christ, we humbly and confidently lift up our prayers….

  1. For a deep spirit of generosity in sharing our gifts, both material and spiritual, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That we may express great reverence and homage even in the light of the sacred intimacy we enjoy with the Lord because of the incarnation, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For a great return to school after this wonderful break, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That the people of Ukraine and all those who live in the darkness of violence, poverty and corruption find the light of peace, abundance and lasting justice, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For a new openness to religious vocations in our young people and their parents, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. That we imitate the magi and be determined and courageous in our own search for Jesus, let us pray to the Lord….
  1. For all who have gone before us and those who grieve them, in particular…

Priest: Gathered as one around this table of life, still celebrating the birth of our Messiah, we give thanks even as we lift up our petitions. In Christ’s name we pray….
