DSA Message from Fr. Tom

Dear Parishioner,

As we begin this Lenten season we give thanks for our many blessings here at St. Rita. We thank God as well for our personal blessings and we unite those blessings with Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the altar. I hope you’ll join me in giving thanks for those blessings by supporting the 2024 Diocesan Services Appeal.

The theme of DSA this year is, “The Offering of the Just Enriches the Altar.” This passage from the book of Sirach calls us to unite our prayers, good works and blessings more deeply with the sacrifice of the Holy Eucharist.

DSA is an opportunity to enrich our Sunday sacrifice by giving generously to support the work of our Church – here at St. Rita and throughout the Diocese of Lansing. DSA donations are vital to our works of mercy here at the parish and throughout the diocese.

Please prayerfully consider your DSA contribution this year. If you have given in previous years, thank you! We value your contribution no matter the amount.

There’s a DSA video message from our Bishop Earl Boyea, available online at https://www.dioceseoflansing.org/DSA. You may also use this link to make a DSA gift via credit card or electronic funds transfer from your bank. We will provide pledge forms at all Masses on DSA Commitment Weekend, March 2 & 3.

Our DSA parish goal is $66,804. Once we reach our goal, 50% of any contributions beyond will come to our parish.

Thanks for your faith, your involvement and all your great generosity. May God shower you and those dear to you with an abundance of grace!

Blessings,

Fr. Tom Helfrich, OSFS
